Lesser Stag Beetle

Similar in appearance to a female Stag Beetle, the Lesser Stag Beetle is the commoner of the two, though is still restricted to southern England. Like the Stag Beetle, the Lesser Stag Beetle feeds inside rotting wood as a larva.
