Adalia decempunctata (Linnaeus, 1758)
Ten-spot Ladybird
A highly variable ladybird, it can be distinguished from the closely related Two-spot Ladybird by the paler brown colouration of the legs. Adults appear from March onwards and can be found on low growing branches of trees such as Sycamore and surrounding herbage where aphids are often abundant. Larvae can be seen from June to September, the adults overwintering in November.
